What You’ll Achieve EASA Part-147 Certificate of Recognition (Theoretical & Practical, as applicable) for Boeing 787 (B1/B2). Full system-level competence for line and base maintenance, fault-isolation, and continued airworthiness tasks on B787-8/9/10 variants. Familiarity with all three engine families used on the 787: GEnx, Trent 1000, PW4077. Course Content (ATA-Structured) Airframe & Systems: Limitations, AMM structure, MEL/CDL awareness, maintenance practices, and safety. Powerplant: GEnx / Trent 1000 / PW4077 architecture, FADEC, engine control, thrust reverser design, vibration & performance monitoring. Fuel / Pneumatic / Hydraulic / Electrical: Power generation and distribution, standby systems, RAT deployment, pump and accumulator logic. Landing Gear & Brakes: Extension/retraction sequences, high-speed gear logic, antiskid/mark 60 systems, steering design. Flight Controls: Fly-by-wire primary/secondary flight controls, spoilers/slats/flaps, autoflight systems and integration. Avionics & Instruments (B2 Depth): FMS, EFIS/IRS, sat-com/data bus systems, health-monitoring, mission-planner systems. Pressurization & Environmental: ECS packs, outflow valves, cabin & flight-deck conditioning systems, high-altitude & ETOPS-specific logic. Fire Protection / Oxygen / Ice & Rain: Detection systems, suppression systems, flight-deck & cabin oxygen, anti-ice logic, lighting & rain repulsion. Troubleshooting & Practical Tasks: Fault-isolation on representative line/base equipment, calibration/man-tooling usage, maintenance documentation review and compliance.
